Brand Activations on Facebook
Wildfire Interactive offered marketers a platform to easily build sophisticated, immersive interactions with their customers on FB and other social platforms. I was hired to build out an internal team of designers, writers and developers who would build white label experiences for larger brands who lacked the ability to build sites themselves. Most often this involved me kicking off each project with a discussion on goals and scope—ways to entice loyal brand enthusiasts to engage with stories. My job was to use my knowledge of the platform to help mock up prototype experiences for brands, which my team would design an execute. These experiences often took the form of brand interactions such as sweepstakes, bake-offs, photo and video competitions, where user-generated content defined experiences for other users. The role taught me about social as a highly effective channel for brand engagement, if used properly.
